I may have found one of my new favorite little towns after visiting Bayfield Wisconsin. Being an elopement and wedding photographer in the neighboring state of Minnesota, I had heard of it numerous of times. It wasn’t until recently though, did I get the privilege of visiting this quaint town on Lake Superior.
I met with Kaylee and Zach last winter to discuss wedding details and the conversation quickly turned to planning an adventurous engagement session. Oddly, with all the beautiful options out there, I threw out the idea of heading to Madeline Island. Zach said “that’s crazy…that is exactly where we were thinking!”
So destiny will have it…
I began the planning process only to find myself overwhelmed with the options of islands and hotels so called upon one of Bayfield’s finest, Brittany, with Simply Gypsy Events to help me out! She hooked us up with the best Hair and Makeup lady, Mollie Carrier, who also happens to own Sea Gull Bay Motel and a house rental nearby. I will be staying there again (and possibly hosting a workshop in the future, wink wink) because it was so perfect for us!! My 4 year old joined me on this adventure and she kept saying “I wish this was our home.”
