Country Wedding in Southern Minnesota | Abby + Matt • Xsperience Photography

Abby and Matt have the most special love. It’s so apparent they share a genuine friendship at the soul’s deepest level. Every second of this day resembled that. It started with smiles, hugs, laughter and excitement, and ended with smiles, hugs, laughter and dancing!! I drove the few hours south to the beautiful countryside of St. James, Minnesota. The ladies were getting ready in the basement of East Sveadahl Church, which brought me back to memories of Sunday School in my own small church in the country. There’s just something so beautiful about a steeple surrounded by fields and trees.

Following the ceremony, we enjoyed some lake views before heading to Abby’s childhood family farm. They transformed a working shed into a full-functioning wedding venue!! I can’t imagine the hours spent in there. But it was totally worth it. The decor featuring mums, vintage touches, floral accents, and a ceiling draped with white and gold highlighted with twinkling lights, was truly perfect.

Outside their guests enjoyed the beautiful August evening. They shared drinks, good conversation and good ole-fashioned yard games. I can’t emphasize enough how fun this wedding was!! Abby and Matt should write a book on how to get married… “prepare, plan, and then enjoy it all as it naturally unfolds!!”
