Cassidy and Sam had to choose Pfeiffer State Park in Big Sur, California for their micro destination wedding. It not only represents their adventurous, playful love, but it also is Cassidy’s new last name!!
“After a few weeks of reflection of our big day, we truly could not be more pleased with how everything went. From the first conversation we had with Trisha, through the beautiful engagement shoot, and all the way to the ceremony in the sand, Trisha was an absolute joy to work with. She made every step along the way feel easier, answered all of our questions, and wherever we had a blank space in what we were trying to envision for ourselves, she filled that space beautifully. She truly is an expert at what she does. An artist, and, travel guide. She helped keep our day relaxed while giving us truly stunning photos that couldn’t have been staged that well if we tried.”
What was your favorite part of your Micro-Wedding at Pfeiffer State Park?
Sam:
When we walked onto beach and realized our plan came to fruition
Cass:
My dad being a fabulous officiant and being able to share our vows on the beach.
I also loved the relief and excitement that came over me when I saw the gorgeous picnic set up waiting for us in the forest.
Why did you choose Pfeiffer Beach for your Destination Wedding?
Sam remembered a magnet for Pfeiffer Beach on his grandma’s fridge and thought that would be a fun trip to make one day. As we looked at pictures to plan a trip, we decided it would be pretty cool for me to become a Pfeiffer at Pfeiffer beach and called Trisha that night! It was such a smooth process from beginning to end.
What was your goal for the Wedding day?
We really wanted a stress free wedding that focused on the union of two families. A trip where our families could enjoy quality time together amongst beautiful scenery, and amazing food (cooked by Sam) seemed like the perfect plan for us!!
It was also important to us that it wasn’t a performative affair. The goal was genuine connection and a relaxed trip/wedding day. Trisha made that possible for us.
Any tips or advice for engaged couples?
Focus more on your time with the ones you love and take the time to show them that. Those are the moments you will most fondly remember and Trisha does an incredible job of capturing those organic moments. We also recommend hiring a professional. It helps put you at ease so you’re able to truly be present and enjoy your day.
A few favorite lines from your vows since they were so beautifully written…
We will attach a copy of our vows in case you have a favorite you’d rather feature.
Sam:
“I even secretly love how you can beat me at Rummikub”
Cass:
“I vow to love you as deeply as the largest roots of these redwoods and for as long as it would take to count every grain of sand on this beach, for every star in the night sky”
Goals for married life…
Our goals are to start a family! We also strive to meet each other with love and curiosity daily.
