Point Reyes National Seashore is one of my favorite locations for coastal elopements and destination engagement sessions. It has rolling hills, a rugged coastline, beautiful beaches and wild animals living in their element. Ever since the first time I visited, I dreamt of documenting a small destination wedding at the Olema House. So when Frank and Lisa reached out to me, wanting to host a small destination wedding in the beautiful countryside of Point Reyes, California, without hesitation I recommended the Olema House.
The Olema House is situated in the lush landscape inland of the Point Reyes National Seashore. It’s a boutique hotel that perfectly combines modern decor with historical seaside charm. Frank and Lisa fell in love after researching it online and instantly booked their lodging. After seeing it in person, they fell in love even more and opted to skip the half hour drive to the coast as originally planned, and spend their entire small destination wedding at the hotel. They had friends and family from all over the world there to witness their undeniable love for each other. Sweden, Poland, Oklahoma, Texas, New York to name a few. Since Frank is originally from Sweden, their ceremony was spoken in both English and Swedish. It was truly beautiful. The dinner featured oysters, salmon, mashed potatoes and the most delicious brussel sprouts. And their dance featured some pretty incredible dance moves if you ask me;)
