Minnesota Farm Wedding | Blackberry Ridge Reception

Jennifer and Nick are the epitome of love. They speak with kindness. Look at each other with admiration. Hold hands without being told to;) And smile when they’re together…boy do they smile. And laugh. Seriously so much laughter! The best man’s speech at Blackberry Ridge couldn’t have been more perfect when he said they bring joy into every room they walk into.

Jennifer and the ladies began their day getting ready at Blackberry Ridge in Sartell, while the gentleman were down the road in good ole Foley, Minnesota! That’s my hometown so gotta throw in the “good ole”;) After the ladies were ready, we too headed to Jennifer’s childhood farm. It was so beautiful there! It could easily be converted into a wedding venue! We started with a much anticipated first look before roaming the property filled with many photogenic opportunities. After some posed formals, the ceremony in the field began. The musician singing and playing the guitar was my favorite addition to the sweet ceremony.

When the ceremony was finished, Jennifer, Nick and their guests made their way back to Blackberry Ridge where they ate, drank and “be married”. Their dance took place at sunset on an outdoor patio. Talk about a magical way to end the evening.

What was your favorite part of the wedding day?

To have everything that we planned work out so nicely. The weather was perfect, and everyone seemed to be having fun.

Nick

Seeing all of our loved ones together in the same room. It was so special knowing they were all there to celebrate our love with us. It truly is a once in a lifetime opportunity.

Jenny

Why did you choose the Farm to host your intimate Ceremony and then Blackberry Ridge to host your wedding reception?

Farm: I grew up there and wanted to get married somewhere that was special to me and had meaning. I always had a vision for what my wedding could be, and my dad was able to help us pull it off perfectly at his home. ~Jenny

Blackberry Ridge: We really loved the outdoor space and had heard really good things about the staff and food. Everyone was so welcoming and helpful. And the food was delicious!

What was your goal for the Wedding day?

Enjoy the day together as a couple

Nick

To see our vision come to life finally after planning it for so long. And just have a fun day together making memories with everyone we love

Any tips or advice for engaged couples?

Don’t be afraid to ask for help from your friends and family, a lot of them want to help make your day special!

Nick

My only regret was that I didn’t get to talk to everyone… I would suggest making it a priority to visit with the people who traveled a long way to be there, or people you rarely get to see. Your local besties that you will see the next week will understand!

Jenny

Any big Honeymoon plans…

None yet, but hoping to have a nice weekend at a cabin this fall when things slow down a bit.

Goals for married life…

To learn and grow together as husband and wife, and always remain best friends.

“Okay I might be a little biased, but You can see for yourself how much love and joy these two have for each other, and for life, as you see their day unfold in this video. I was grateful to have Associate Photographer Sam along for the day so I could focus on capturing moments as they happened naturally. These two are so special and sweet, and I consider myself blessed having met them.” ~Trisha
