Mark and Lacey | Rural Central MN Wedding • Xsperience Photography

Mark and Lacey embraced their rural Central Minnesota roots and celebrated their wedding day at Lacey’s hometown of Staples and Mark’s hometown of Sobieski. We began the day at Lacey’s family farm before making our way to Sacred Heart in Staples. Their drive there and to the Event Center in Sobieski was certainly a highlight because they arrived in style…a vintage 66 Chevy pickup!!

When asked their favorite part of their wedding day…

It’s hard to pick just one favorite part of our wedding day. We enjoyed everything! But if we had to pick a moment, it would be the 45 minute drive from the church to the reception hall in our 66 Chevy pickup. It was the first time we were alone together that day. It gave us time to talk and sit in our newly married bliss. Also a lot of our family and friends would pass us while waving and honking. It was really special moment for us.

Why did you host your wedding ceremony in Staples MN and your reception in Sobieski?

We chose to get married at the beautiful Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Staples, MN because that is where Lacey grew up and went to church. We chose the Sobieski Community Center in Sobieski, MN because that is where Mark is from and where we live now.
