In the land of 10000 lakes, it would seem fitting to host your wedding ceremony on an Island that reflects the beautiful views of the lakes from every angle. Katie and Daley’s wedding day perfectly showcased the serenity and peacefulness Minnesota’s land offers. However, the views weren’t the only beautiful thing to look at. The stunning Katie showed off her big smile while wearing a gown she fell in love with while casually browsing at Encore Consignment and Bridal Boutique in Mankato; and the love and playfulness between her and Daley was definitely the centerpiece of the day.
“I grew up spending every summer at the lake. We’d always go fishing in the evening across from the peak of the Island Camp. I always said since I was a little girl that’s it’s where I would get married. Luckily, I found a man who loved the lake as much as I do! I wanted a wedding with a lot of natural elements to go along with the outdoor ceremony, flowers, eucalyptus, and neutral colors with a pop of burgundy. Writing our own vows and slowly cruising in the big convertible to the reception were a couple of my most favorite, intimate, parts of the wedding! We ended the reception dancing all night long. I think it’s a good sign when nobody can walk the next day because they’re so sore! We love celebrating love, and wanted our day centered around that, and I think we achieved it perfectly!”
