The Falls Ballroom Garden space is the perfect scene for a sweet, intimate vow renewal or micro-wedding. It has an on-site home walking distance from the garden which is perfect for getting ready (and sleeping if too much fun was had;) and the Ballroom is a great back-up plan if it rains. Luckily we had the perfect Summer evening so no back up plan was needed!

The Falls Ballroom in Little Falls, Minnesota

The Falls Ballroom is an iconic staple located in Central Minnesota. It has hosted hundreds of traditional weddings since 1950. Owners, Will and Tiffany, purchased it 15 years ago and saw the potential it had to host micro-weddings, elopements and outdoor ceremonies. And so the landscaping began!! They created a beautiful patio space behind the Ballroom perfect for social hour and evening fun. There is a fire-pit for chilly evening nights and plenty of space for bean bags and socializing.

Just a walking path away is my favorite space at The Falls Ballroom…The Gardens. It is plenty big to fit an outdoor ceremony or micro-wedding reception. The sun shines through the trees about an hour before sunset making for the most beautiful photos. The first time I saw it, I started dreaming up an intimate micro-wedding unfolding there.

When I was given the opportunity to bring my outdoor micro-wedding vision to life, I decided to make it extra special…and REAL!! My good friends Nikki and Darrell were coming up on 10 years of marriage so I saw it as the perfect opportunity to turn the micro-wedding into a Vow Renewal. Nikki is my “go to” for styling elopements and boutique micro-weddings so she was able to incorporate her unique style and make it special to her. They brought their adorable kids so they could witness their parents celebrate the love that brought them into the world. Their spunk and joy definitely made the night feel more special.

Vow Renewals

Vow renewals are my absolute favorite to document. Anyone can get married, but it takes hard work, compromise, loyalty, communication, and more, to stay married. Now THAT is something worth celebrating!!! Whether big or small, I think 10 years, 25 and 50 are the perfect mark to remind each other why you chose one another to do this crazy thing called “life” with. Vow Renewals can just be the two of you saying those words you both long to hear, or it can include your loved ones. Some even use it as an excuse to have their dream wedding, or elopement style adventure, that they couldn’t afford or never had.
