An Intimate North Shore Wedding at Larsmont Cottages • Xsperience Photography

The North Shore of Minnesota is beautiful to say the least. But when you hear this couple’s story and see the love they have for each other and their children, beautiful takes on a whole new meaning!

“Getting married has been the plan for the past 15 years, but we always seemed to hold off due to our busy life. Between children, college, becoming foster parents and adopting the time never seemed right. Until one day we planned a family camping trip on the North Shore. As we were walking by the beautiful cliffs with our 4 children, we knew now was the perfect time. A traditional wedding was not something we envisioned for our special day. An intimate elopement with our close family brought the idea to life for the both of us. It made the day more about the love between Steven and I. The quality time we would get to spend with our family and the memories we would get to make was everything we have dreamed about. Our family is all about experiences in life and this was one of them.Trisha helped turn our vision into reality, from the resort options with beautiful views, salons, a timeline for the wedding and locations options for our 1st look. Our day was so peaceful and truly about enjoying time with each other. Her photography captured these memories that we will cherish forever.”

Kristine and Steve chose to host their intimate wedding at Larsmont Cottages in Two Harbors, Minnesota. The Cottages are picturesque and comfortable and the staff are all so welcoming and down to earth. The grounds are perfect for relaxation, kids running around playing (or dancing in this case) and good conversations around the campfire with the soothing sound of waves rolling in from Lake Superior.

Since most their days are dedicated to their children, they decided to have the first look and posed portraits at Gooseberry State Park with just the two of them. It was a special opportunity to slow things down a bit and focus on how far the two have come in life as a pair.
