“I said “Yes” to the man of my dreams on a beach in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, so it only seemed natural that we say “I Do” with our toes in the sand. After Tyler and I got engaged, the search for places to tie the knot began, and it did not take us long to decide we wanted a destination wedding. Over the years, we have attended and been in several weddings, each unique to every couple in their own way. While every wedding we have been to has been beautiful and full of love, the common theme I heard from brides was this: “If I could do it over again, I would have done a destination wedding”. We started researching local venues and in places such as the U.S. Virgin Islands and Mexico. After price comparing, we quickly realized several venues back home were more expensive than having our wedding in a tropical paradise. Being that Tyler and I both love traveling, the thought of a destination wedding didn’t sound like such a bad idea after all.
It didn’t take us long to decide that we wanted to continue our theme of getting engaged on the beach, to getting married on the beach. We both love the laid back atmosphere and wanted to share the experience of a vacation and wedding week with our families and close friends. I would hear brides say how their wedding day went by too fast and they wished it had lasted longer. With a destination wedding, we would ideally turn those few precious hours with your guests into one memorable week.
When prioritizing our “wedding must-have” lists, photography was always at the top. I knew I wanted to bring someone with us to our destination that was unique, experienced, trustworthy and that made us feel comfortable. When the “big day” is over, pictures are what you have to remember it by, and cherish for years to come. Other than choosing to have a destination wedding, bringing our photographers with us was the best decision we made! We chose Xsperience Photography after countless recommendations and having seen Trisha in action at a few of my close friend’s weddings; not to mention her incredible portfolio and photos that I would obsess over on Instagram!”

“Tyler and I had a winter engagement photo session with Trisha on a very cold, snowy February day, and we could not have asked for a more fun experience! We knew instantly (before we even saw the images) that we had to get Trisha to Mexico for our wedding! We were so fortunate that she and her assistant Jess were able to join us for such a memorable trip. Trisha has a very special way of capturing the candid moments, emotions and magic in her photos. It is like re-living those feelings and moments through her images. I can’t begin to explain how professional, fun, thoughtful, hard-working and talented she is! Both her and Jess went above and beyond our expectations. Not only did they capture the day perfectly, but also captured special moments throughout the week between us and our guests that we will cherish forever. If we could go back in time and do it all over again, we wouldn’t change a thing. We feel so lucky to have had such a beautiful venue, incredible families and friends, and the best photographers to share our special day with us. It was a dream come true and we couldn’t have asked for anything better! “
