There are a few milestones in our lives that deserve special documentation. Graduating from High School is one of those moments. It’s pretty common to have your Senior Photos taken and while in the past, these photos were taken pretty serious and was a well respected investment, these days it is easier to have your friend snap 100 photos in hopes of getting one good shot for the yearbook. I, being a professional photographer for 16 years now, of course frown on that, but can also respect that option if you truly view it as “just a photo for the yearbook”.
I personally view your Senior Photoshoot as an opportunity to capture this moment in your life, while also creating an unforgettable experience. It’s a chance to feel important and celebrated. A picture does more than just show you what you looked like at that given time; It holds the power to take you back to what you were feeling at that time as well.
Maddie is a special young lady with a heart bigger than the sky. She dreams of helping others by becoming a nurse someday, but even more importantly, she helps others already. She loves taking care of kids, staying active on the swim team, and avoids high school drama as much as she possibly can. When her mom inquired about her Senior Session, I told her they should join my sister and I on a road-trip to Arkansas and we can take her photos in the Ozarks while having some fun too. At first she laughed, but soon wrote back “she’s only doing this once, and too soon she’ll be leaving us, so let’s go BIG…we’re in!!”
“My Arkansas adventure- We started our 11 hour road trip bright and early! We were welcomed by the beautiful Ozark Mountains and the cutest little town of Eureka Springs! This destination senior picture trip was a wonderful memory to look back on and something that I will never forget! We toured the town, all adoring the unique buildings as Trisha kept an eye out for some picture spots. We made many pit stops along the road to snapping some pictures when something beautiful popped up. Trisha did an amazing job making pictures feel comfortable and capturing my natural self. These pictures will bring me back to all the great memories created on our unforgettable trip” ~Madelyn Kowitz
