Dawn and Aaron have been friends since junior year of high school, in 2011. “We attended the same high school and college together, staying friends throughout the years.” Dawn moved back to Upsala in 2015 and Aaron stayed in Bemidji a few more months before moving to Duluth in late 2015. In 2016, Dawn moved to Oregon. “For the past 4 years, the closest we lived to each other was 2.5 hours away, the longest distance was a 28 hour drive (1820 miles), but we still talked or texted every single day!” Aaron asked Dawn to marry him on a family trip to Florida in January of 2019 on a pontoon ride overlooking the Magic Kingdom firework show. Of course, she said yes!
Which leads us to September 14th, 2019. “It was the most beautiful day! Everything we had worked so hard to make, plan, and coordinate turned out even better than we could have hoped for. Also it didn’t hurt that the weather was perfect after a week filled with rain! We couldn’t have done it without our family and friends who spent multiple days at the Retreat making all our plans a reality. The Olive Branch was the perfect place for us. It’s the perfect combination of a local wedding with a Destination atmosphere. We started celebrating Thursday evening and continued through Monday morning. It provided us with many hours with our favorite people as we all went in and out of the house! It was incredible knowing they were all there for us!”
