What happens when you plan the perfect Summer wedding at a beautiful resort and it decides to rain…not sprinkle, but full downpour RAIN!?!  You improvise with a smile:)  That is exactly what Troy & Liv did at Hidden Haven Resort on Rush Lake, and it resulted in the perfect getaway for their closest friends and family.

I personally don’t think it gets much better than a small wedding on a lake in Northern Minnesota!! And this small wedding at Hidden Haven Resort on Rush Lake certainly didn’t disappoint. The rain tried really hard to ruin it, but it had zero success. The cabins at the small resort hosted the intimate getting ready moments and the outdoor scene still shone bright through the rain. Thanks to the fun DJ, Josh with Soulful Sounder, the spirits remained high long into the evening.

“The focus behind our wedding was to spend time with the people who have been our backbones throughout the years.” Liv goes on to tell my why they chose this particular destination, “The owners of Hidden Haven Resort were long time friends with my father who passed away in 2014.  I have great memories of my father while spending the weekend there so it felt like the perfect place to have our closest friends and family carry on the tradition, and the perfect place to create new memories as well.”
