Delta Diamond Farm Wedding | Isleton, California

This beautiful early Fall wedding at Delta Diamond Farm in Isleton, California is one for the storybooks. Kiani and James have the kind of love you can’t help but smile when witnessing. They compliment each other in every way. Both kind, loving, family-oriented and, most importantly, both willing to do anything to make the other have a more fulfilling and happy life. Well, each other AND the two absolutely adorable girls who gained an incredible Step-Dad on September 5th 2025!!

Delta Diamond Farm, Isleton, California

Delta Diamond Farm is situated along the Sacramento River in the beautiful country-side of northern California. Upon arrival, it appeared to be a typical barn wedding venue. Then you walk the cobblestone path to this fairytale wedding venue. The yard is centrally located between a few cottages and a big Southern Style Farmhouse. This is where Kiani and James exchanged vows in front of their family and friends.

Documentary Wedding Photography Coverage

After their wedding ceremony we strolled around the property and captured photos by the mature trees and textured buildings. It was very windy so it was nice to have such beautiful buildings and trees to help block the wind a bit. Kiani made it clear that while she wanted some nice portraits of the two of them and their family, but she prefered photos that documented the moments and the realness of the day. Many brides say that, but then still provide a 3 page shot list and wait on me to direct or stage every minute of their day, but she genuinely meant it. She took in every single moment, whether I was there or not, as it naturally flowed. When I was off photographing her 2 spirited girls (my new besties;) by the Farmhouse she decided it was time to put her gorgeous gown on. I walked in and she was just vibing in the moment with zero photo expectations. I told her, in complete honesty, she was my dream bride!!!

From Strangers to Soulmates: How a Chance Halloween Party Sparked a Lifelong Love Story

Some love stories begin with sparks flying at first glance. Others take a little longer to ignite – like the story of James and Kiani, who went from silent acquaintances to life partners in the most unexpected way.

Their story began over a decade ago, but you could hardly call it a beginning at the time.

Kiani had known James through her cousin, who happened to be one of James’s closest friends. They crossed paths occasionally – family barbecues, casual get togethers, or trips with family – but never exchanged more than acknowledging each other’s presence. James was always the quiet one when around, a guy who blended into the background, while Kiani was busy navigating life, never really giving each other much thought.

It wasn’t that they never liked each other, they just never talked. For years!

Until one time James and Kiani thought they’d hit it off. Turns out Kiani’s attempts to lock in James was a failed mission. So another 3 years continued where James was always the quiet one when around, a guy who blended into the background, while Kiani was busy navigating life, never really giving each other much thought.

But life has a funny way of setting the stage when you’re not even looking.

Once October evening, James was invited to a Halloween party by Kiani. He almost didn’t go… but luckily made a last-minute decision to attend.

From there, things unfolded naturally. Texts turned into hangouts. Hangouts turned into dates. Over the months they became inseparable – through job changes, late-night phone calls and FaceTime’s.

Now nearly 5 years after that Halloween party, James and Kiani have said “I do” in front of their closest family and friends, including the cousin who unknowingly played matchmaker.

Their story is a reminder that love doesn’t always arrive with fireworks, sometimes it sneaks in quietly, wearing a Halloween costume and changes everything!
