When you’re in the midst of peak Fall season, and the sweetest person politely asks you to squeeze in a weekday elopement at Black Beach, Minnesota, you always say YES!! Kimberly and Chris have the most down-to-earth, natural presence together. I caught myself feeling lighter and happier as I scrolled through the wedding images Sam captured for me. They represent everything we stand for…peace, love and simplicity at its best!

Why did you choose Black Beach in Minnesota for your Ceremony Destination?

We chose Black Beach for our ceremony because it held special significance to us. We discovered that beach on our first trip together when we started dating and had always wanted to go back and collect the sand as a keepsake. When we decided to elope we knew the North Shore in the fall was where it had to be. We saw Trisha’s pictures and fell in love with her style and she had done weddings on this beach before and we knew it was meant to be. Our goal for the day was complete relaxation and enjoyment and we got that and more. Tip for engaged couples- do what you want for your day! We did and it couldn’t have been any more perfect!

The Simply Sweet Elopement Plan

Kimberly and Chris wanted their first look to be when she walked down the path to the beach. For that reason they arrived in different vehicles. Chris’s reaction is priceless.

Marry Me In The Northland, an officiant based in northern Minnesota performed a nice little ceremony service. Then the two of them explored the beach before heading to the iconic Palisade Head overlook.

At Palisade Head they went on a little hike for some great photo moments, then shared a picnic and first dance overlooking Lake Superior.

It doesn’t get much simpler and sweeter than that!!
