Zoe and Jordan headed to Western Wisconsin for their intimate destination wedding at Oehme Oasis wedding venue. They were surrounded by their closest friends, family, and yes… mini Highlander cows!! I would like to say Zoe was most excited about sharing her wedding day with her friends and family, but I think the mini Highlanders may have stolen her heart that day. Well a third of it anyways…the other portions belong to Jordan and God.

Zoe and Jordan may be young in age, but so wise in spirit. They allow their faith in God to guide them on their path to love. And it shows. Jordan looks at Zoe and can’t help but smile. Zoe looks and Jordan, sees him smiling, and instinctively hugs him and laughs with joy. It was such a privilege to witness and document such a sweet couple.
Oehme Oasis Wedding Venue with Mini Highlander Cows
When Zoe and Jordan set out searching for a venue, they knew they wanted an intimate destination wedding vibe, close to home, with the sole focus on the blessing of their marriage. They grew up in Central Minnesota so Western Wisconsin was still a drive-able 2 1/2 hours for most their guests. When Zoe set eyes on the mini Highlander cows it was a sealed deal. It also helped that the owners of Oehme Oasis were incredibly kind and accommodating. Zoe and Jordan kept the guest list under 100 and opted for a dry wedding so finding a venue with no set limit on guest count and booze was a major perk.
The Wedding Day
It was a beautiful brisk sun-shiny October day. The Fall colors were starting to fade, but still offered a warm glowing backdrop. However, the wind was out to get us! So we traded in the warm colorful trees for the big beautiful barn featured at Oehme Oasis to give us a bit of wind block. Since Zoe and Jordan wanted to wait until the ceremony to see each other, we utilized the double-story getting ready space and took turns for photo opportunities. This made for quite the special “walk down the aisle”. Jordan attempted to hold back tears as Zoe and her Father made their way towards him. The ceremony was delivered by a family member who gave it a personal and humorous touch. After the ceremony everyone gathered in the barn for prayer, tacos, speeches and dancing. Of course we snuck away at sunset to visit Zoe’s favorite little guests… the Micro Highlander cows!!
