I could photograph a wedding like this every weekend… Intimate, peaceful, and surrounded by earth’s beauty and your closest loved ones. Lea and Nick chose Larsmont Cottages in Two Harbor’s, Minnesota because they loved the views of Lake Superior and the relaxing atmosphere it provided while still being a drivable distance for their guests. It’s the perfect combination of a traditional wedding and Destination wedding. When I arrived Lea was just about finished getting ready in the upstairs of their quaint cottage, so we took Nick out to the path that runs along the rocky shore. By we, I mean me and their two adorable kiddos who were just as excited as the bride and groom themselves. We then photographed the guests and proceeded to the ceremony site just a few cottage lengths away. Following the ceremony, the three of us headed to Two Harbors Lighthouse for a romantic evening together…yes, I’m quite used to being the third wheel;) Then back to Larsmont for dinner, drinks and music smoothly playing on a good ole record player. How simple and perfect does that sound for a wedding day?!
Kind words from Lea: “I look at these photos and instantly feel swept right back into the day. The day was captured so beautifully in all the right parts, including the details like the special flowers a friend added to my bouquet, and the desserts from the bakery I used to work at. All of my favorite memories caught in the moment to re-visit over and over again and forever.”
