I caught myself smiling the entire time I was editing these images. When I re-focused my brand to small outdoor weddings and elopements it was because I craved weddings filled with real enjoyment, laughter and quiet moments for just the two individuals who were the center of the whole reason for the celebration. While Katherine and Jacob didn’t hold back on the number of attendants, they too shared this vision.
“Jacob and I were high school sweethearts (like our parents before us). I wanted the day to be fun and simple, yet elegant. My favorite color is blue so I knew I wanted a blue wedding. I also love the movie Tangled, so I used lanterns to decorate, I see the Light was our recessional song, and of course the final send off with the lighting of the lanterns. We are all about creating memories, so throughout the venue we incorporated “booths” such as a guest wedding quilt, date night jar, game table, and Photo Booth. Most the evening was spent outside playing outdoor games and enjoying the beautiful scenery from Spirit Mountain.”
“From start to finish it was the perfect day. Mine and Jacob’s favorite part of the day was when we got to sneak away to Lake Superior after the ceremony and re-visit the place Jacob proposed to me.”
