Alexis and Andrew’s Mn North Shore elopement started off at the most adorable tiny home tucked away in the woods along the hillside of Lake Superior… hence the name Havens Northwoods Hillside Tiny Home! Minnesota’s North Shore is home to many cabins, lodges, campsites and hotels, but The Havens offer some of the greatest options for lodging and photo backdrops for intimate weddings. Alexis had professional hair and makeup in the tiny home while Andrew enjoyed some nature and relaxation. They shared the sweetest first look in front of their family members before heading to Black Beach. They officially became husband and wife with their immediate family nearby, but saved their personal vows for some alone-time along the epic north shore cliffs overlooking Lake Superior. It was so peaceful, relaxing and truly a pleasure to document.

What was your favorite part of the North Shore MN elopement experience?

We loved that the elopement experience allowed us to focus on what mattered most to US.

Why did you choose Black Beach?

We are both from Minnesota and we loved the idea of having something close to home. Black Beach was on our bucket list to visit together. We also love the idea that we can take a day trip back up there if we feel like we want to have a date day.

Why did you choose to have a simple elopement vs a big traditional wedding?

We didn’t have to spend days/weeks/months entertaining others. It allowed us to truly enjoy the day and look forward to the process rather than feel like it was a chore. There is so much beauty in simplicity.
