Natalie and McKinley live in the South, but fell in love with the mountains Out West when they visited Montana a few years ago. After 6 years of dating and surviving the building of a new home together, they knew they were ready for the next step…marriage. They found a small cabin tucked away in the mountains near Yellowstone National Park and just an hour from Bozeman airport, grabbed a couple of their favorite people for witnesses, and had the sweetest small winter elopement.
Why Did You Choose To Elope in Montana?
We chose Montana because we visited two years ago and fell in love. When we planned another trip this year we figured, what the heck?! It’s so peaceful and relaxing, and there is always an adventure to be had. We felt like it represented our relationship perfectly!
What Was Your Favorite Part Of Your Elopement Experience?
My favorite part was all the adventures we shared before and after the wedding! We went to dinner with our best friends & saw some pretty cool animals and amazing views. We are very much those kind of people who travel just to sight-see and photograph all the cool critters spotted!
We spent 5 more days in Montana after the elopement so we went sight-seeing around the Cameron area. The drive from Bozeman to Cameron is incredible. Of course we had to take a drive through Yellowstone. We also went snowmobiling one of the days and our friends actually got engaged so that was a fun surprise!!!
Why Did You Choose To Elope
My goal for the wedding day was SIMPLE. I am a very anxious person so I was looking for anything that didn’t stress me out. We chose a cabin in the middle of nowhere and had a couple friends tag along to serve as witnesses. And thanks to our photographer Trisha with Xsperience Photography, who was so chill, we didn’t feel stressed or pushed! <3
