Lake Superior Barn Micro Wedding | Wisconsin

This Lake Superior Barn Micro-Wedding was so incredibly thought out. Jessica and Felipe wanted a simplified guest list, but they didn’t want to sell themselves short on the whole wedding day experience. Their priorities were: a beautiful venue, a North Shore experience for them and their guests, timeless photography, and delicious food. Aside from swapping the Minnesota North Shore for the South Shore Wisconsin side, I would say mission was accomplished!! Felipe even surprised his new wife with a romantic misty fog that rolled in as the ceremony began. Well…I personally think Mother Nature may have had something to do with that one, but who am I to argue with the groom;)

What was your favorite part of your Lake Superior Micro-Wedding?  

Our favorite part of the wedding day was the first-look. There were so many emotions flowing from the chaos of wedding prep that morning, but seeing each other for the first time absolutely calmed everything. It was the pivotal moment that brought us back to why we were there in the first place. From that point on, the entire night was perfect!

Why did you choose The Lake Superior Barn for your North Shore destination wedding venue?  

We have a very special love for the North Shore. We have taken numerous trips up north throughout our relationship. Therefore it holds some of our absolute most favorite memories. We knew we wanted our wedding to be along the North Shore to provide that outdoorsy experience for us and our guests, and luckily we stumbled upon The Lake Superior Barn. Upon seeing it, it was an instant “that’s it”. The actual barn itself is rustic luxury, and the sprawling yard that overlooks the lake with it’s own private beach was the absolute perfect setting for our day. 

What was your goal for the Micro-Wedding day?  

Our goal for our wedding day was to create something so completely unique to ‘us’, and be something that was intimate and special with our closest loved ones. We wanted to be able to spend time with everyone (and each other) – so having a small, more intimate wedding was the absolute perfect scenario for us. 

Any tips or advice for engaged couples?  

Do not sweat the small stuff – every detail will work its way out as it was meant to be.

Felipe & I cannot express enough how absolutely perfect she was for our wedding. She was everything we wanted in a chef for our day. Every detail, from how she prepped and timed everything, to how she displayed the food was pure perfection. And it tasted as good as it looked!!
