High School Sweethearts Get Married on Madeline Island • Xsperience Photography

When I first met with Crystal and Trevor we were discussing their wedding plans for next October in Northern Minnesota, so I was pleasantly surprised when they contacted me just a week later and said, “We’d love to book your Madeline Island Elopement package!!!” Then just another short week later, we were adjusting their elopement plans and turning it into a small, intimate wedding on the Island with their immediate family present. And yes, a week later they were married!! We started off at the home they rented on VRBO. It was perfectly located in-between Big Bay Town Park and Big Bay State Park. We held the ceremony on the cliffside rocks with the family overlooking, went on a little hiking adventure, then grilled at the home before heading off to the beach for some sunset fun in Lake Superior.

“Just your typical high school sweet hearts here! Trevor definitely approached me off guard as I was not looking for anything serious. He swept me off my feet then days later he left for basic training. Leaving me with his parents. That’s when the real love began! His mom and I had so much fun and got to know each other well! Writing letters to Trevor and of course, getting into a little bit of trouble together. Trevor soon returned and we rekindled what was started a few months ago. Since then we have had many laughs, crazy experiences, and started a little family of 2 cats and a puppy! Here’s to forever…”
