Sibley Park Micro-Wedding | Mankato, MN

Heather and Cole had the sweetest, most intimate Sibley Park Micro-Wedding in Mankato Minnesota. They invited their closest friends and family, shared vows under the pavilion, then celebrated with a pot-luck meal and some quality time hanging out in the park.

What was your favorite part of the wedding day? 

Our favorite part was seeing one another before the ceremony, and having that special moment all to ourselves.

Why did you choose the venue/location?  

We chose Sibley Park for it’s convenience and beauty.  It offered a space for kids to be kids and had all the basic things we needed to host our nearest and dearest.

Why did you opt for a micro wedding vs a big traditional wedding? 

We wanted a micro-wedding to focus on the reason for the day vs the “production” that weddings have become recently.  At the end of the day, it is about us and we like to keep things simple 🙂

What was your goal for the Wedding day? 

Our goal for the day was to get married, include the kids where we could, and have timeless memories captured by our talented photographer

Any tips or advice for engaged couples? 

Think about what really matters to you.  It’s YOUR day – make it what you can look back on and smile.  If a huge event with everyone you have ever met present is what makes you happy, then go for it!  If just the two of you is what makes your heart sing, go for that!  No one else should tell you what your day should be.  It’s a celebration of your unique love and should be just as unique!

How was your experience working with Xsperience Photography?  

We LOVED Trisha!  She felt like she belonged right from the moment she arrived – like I had known her for years.  There was no nerves whatsoever from her being around.  We truly love her candid and documentary style (and some guidance when we needed it).  We could not be more pleased with our sneak peeks and are struggling to wait for the full reveal!
