Our wedding day was truly magical, but the most cherished part was our intimate ceremony at the chapel located on the property of Grand View Lodge. Faith has always been the cornerstone of our relationship, and we wanted our ceremony to reflect that. Surrounded by the people who mean the most to us, we experienced a profound sense of love, gratitude, and commitment as we exchanged our vows.

Why did you choose Grand View Lodge for your intimate wedding celebration?

For years, Grand View Lodge has been a special retreat for Jordan, and now it’s a place where we will continue to create memories together. We envisioned a setting that combined the charm of Nisswa, MN, with the mountain elegance of Vail, CO, and Grand View Lodge was the perfect blend of both. The cozy cabins and breathtaking surroundings made it the ideal place for a weekend-long celebration with our loved ones.

We also wanted our family to be together throughout the weekend, so we rented out four cabins on the property. This made the experience feel even more personal, giving everyone time to relax, connect, and fully enjoy the celebration.

Our Family Centered Wedding Vision

Since neither of us loves being in the spotlight, we aimed for a wedding that felt more like a family getaway. We wanted our loved ones to not only celebrate with us but also enjoy a fun and relaxing weekend up north. We made sure to incorporate activities for the kids and created a warm, inviting atmosphere. One of the highlights of the weekend was our family game night before the wedding—a memory we’ll always treasure.

Advice for Couples Planning Their Wedding

Our biggest tip? Don’t get lost in the tiny details. Focus on what truly matters—being present, embracing the love around you, and making memories that last a lifetime. The day goes by so quickly, and the best thing you can do is soak in every moment.

Also, invest in photography. Your wedding photos are something you’ll look back on forever, and we couldn’t be more thrilled with ours. Every image captures the love and joy of our day beautifully.

Honeymoon Adventures

After the wedding, we took a week to unwind in Arizona, enjoying the beautiful weather and quality time together. In February, we’re off to Cabo for our official honeymoon—excited for sunshine, relaxation, and new adventures as newlyweds!

Looking Ahead in Marriage

Our goal in marriage is simple: to lift each other up and grow together every single day. We want to support, challenge, and love each other in ways that make us both better. Most importantly, we want to share our happiness and love with those around us.
