I think it’s safe to say, modern times have opened our minds a bit to the cliche timeline we once were led to believe was the way to live your life. You know, the one that says you should… graduate, go to college, get married, have kids, live happily after after. I’m not saying that isn’t great, sound advice. Because it is. The more you grow and mature before diving into a relationship and especially before becoming parents, the better. However, sometimes the path isn’t quite that simple. Sometimes it happens in a random order, that will only make sense when you accept your choices and find inner peace. That is when you are truly capable of making your own self happy, and others, no matter where you’re at on that timeline.
Tiffanie devoted most her life to being a good, loving mother, and all my fellow mothers out there can understand that is a full time job in itself. It doesn’t leave a whole lot of time for much anything else. I know I personally have to choose to use the little amount of spare time I have either focusing on my business or dating… yup, you guessed it, the business wins almost every time lol.
Tiffanie is here to say to all us independent women, if love is what you seek, don’t give up!!
Mat and I met one random night at a little bar. I had went out with some friends, mind you I wasn’t looking for love that night as I had been single for the past 12 years. However, apparently God had different plans for me that night. Mat and I locked eyes from across the bar and legit stared at each other a good two minutes before I turned away all red. He did eventually come up to me and got my number. It was difficult at first because I was single for so long. It was just my kids and I. My whole life was my kids- Mat figured that out right away. He too had a son, that was his whole world. We both have had difficult paths as far as love goes. So meeting each other that night was magical. He finally found someone who had the patience of a saint, which trust me he needs. And I found someone who loved my independence and loved my kiddos as much as I did. For anyone who thinks they will never find the one- it’s all on Gods time! God sure knew what he was doing the night Mat and I met. Finally!! We found the love that both of us and our kiddos needed and deserved.
Wedding planning was so fun – my daughter Bailey and I made every decoration at my wedding from centerpieces to all the flowers to the special chair we made for my dad who had passed away. Mat was kind enough to just let us do what we wanted and helped when we asked. I dreamt of my wedding day since I was little and it was perfect. My two favorite parts of my wedding day was before the wedding when we were doing pictures and my son Brady came out and saw me for the first time (if you can’t tell my kids are my world:) and walking out to finally marry the man God so knew I needed .. seeing his face with the tears coming down his face … I knew I was right where I belonged. Home!!
I wouldn’t change a thing- except maybe that I could’ve spent more time with all the guests. Being the bride and groom = a very busy day!!Tiffanie
Tiffanie and Mat chose The Grands at Mulligans in Sartell, Minnesota to host their wedding celebration. They loved that everything could be done all in one place: getting ready, photos, an intimate ceremony under a big beautiful tree, dinner, and dancing. Speaking of dancing, DJ Blakk sure knows how to host a party!!!
